If you have a son or daughter, grandson, or granddaughter, attending UNL or enrolling for the 2024-2025 school year at UNL, the deadline for the application process is approaching. Because our...

Chapter donates $520 to Doorstep

Your donations during this year’s game watches toward Doorstep totaled $520.  Thank you for your generosity showing, as Husker fans, we not only support our university, and its sports teams, but we support great causes.  With the challenges our local charitable organizations are facing, we modify one of our key phrases to state, “There are no fans like Nebraska’s”. Go Big Red.

Corn Flakes: Spring Game, QB1, and the Stadium Project

Photo by Steven Branscombe/Getty Images Will you be at the Spring Game? Are you heading to the spring game? I’m taking my boys, well and my brother since my husband has to work. I think my brother will appreciate it a lot more than my husband anyway. I’m excited, the younger son hasn’t been to game yet and I am sure the older one will like this a little better than he did the loss to Iowa that he got to witness. I can’t wait...

Monday Night Therapy: Nebraska Spring Football with Mitch Sherman of The Athletic – Tonight at 8 PM Central!

Mitch Sherman of The Athletic will join me tonight. There is a lot to ask of Mr. Sherman. He’s been places. He’s seen things. Like Nebraska football practice. Dylan Raiola and Danny Kaelin in action, one presumes. I think the number one question I want to ask him is, disregarding the players, what do you think is the biggest difference between last year and this year that you’ve seen and the little bit that you’ve had of being around the team? He has to talk...

Corn Flakes: Baseball Series Win, Softball Swept, and Offense Dominated the Spring Scrimmage

Photo by Jay LaPrete/NCAA Photos/NCAA Photos via Getty Images Plus, the Husker men’s gymnastics team has even more All-Americans In the video below, Matt Rhule talked about the offense dominating the scrimmage on Saturday. That was a welcome piece of information after many years of reminding myself “the defense is always ahead of the offense at this point”. I’m also not going to read too much into this and develop high hopes for an amazing season. I don’t want my heart to be crushed again....

Nebraska Baseball Leaves No Doubt in Taking the Series from Maryland, 16-4

Nebraska Athletics A big time response from the Huskers a day after being completely humbled by the Terps. Has there been a better day to be in the stands than this Sunday? Sure there have been higher stakes games in this stadium, but a rubber match between two good teams in 60 degrees with various $8-9 beers floating around the stands (though sadly not the press box). It’s a beautiful thing! The Huskers were coming off maybe their worst game of the season, but Coach...

Husker Softball Recap – Nebraska 3 Michigan 11

Nebraska returns to Lincoln on a 3 game losing streak after dropping the final game of the weekend to the Wolverines After losing two close games on Friday and Saturday, the Huskers wanted to finally come out on top this time, but that is exactly what didn’t happen. Michigan kept their momentum going and widened their win to 8 runs this time. I bet my father and fellow co-writer, Andy Ketterson, was ok with missing this game today as it was never close and the...

Olympic Trials: Burroughs Falls in Challenge Final in Front of Classless PSU Crowd

Nebraska Baseball Gets Worked Over in 11-2 loss to Maryland

Nebraska Athletics Hard to find positives on the diamond Saturday. Well, you clicked on the link to open the article, so I guess you are into some pain, or you are just numb to it all from watching the team over the last week and a half or from viewing other Husker sports over the past two decades. This didn’t involve any late game disappointment though, it wasn’t pretty from the moment the umpire pointed at Mason McConnaughey (Big Mac) to start the game. Big...

HUSKERS SOFTBALL Recap – Corn Nation Road Trip Edition Part 2: Michigan 6 HUSKERS 5

Emmerson Cope’s big day came up just short. | Scott Bruhn It was a much cleaner games on both sides & the Huskers never gave up, but the result was very much the same. The Huskers have done their Jason Voorhees impression so often this season – most recently last Sunday against Rutgers – that many Huskers fans were all set for them to rise out of the lake in the top of the 7th trailing only by one after finding themselves down 5-0 early...
